Workshift Metrics is here — BETA
A clear, end-to-end picture of every driver's day. What happened, when it happened, and how it measured up to the plan.
Workshift Metrics takes the raw activity of a driver’s day — every stop, every pause, every kilometre — and turns it into a single, readable story. Dispatchers can quickly spot problematic shifts and understand the underlying causes without digging through raw data logs.
What you’ll see
Headline metrics across a shift:
- 15 deliveries and 1 pickup completed over a sample shift
- 128.0 km driven in 7h 5min
- Throughput: 2.1 deliveries/hour
- Average time at stop: 10m
Key performance indicators tracked:
- Actual workshift — when drivers truly started and stopped versus scheduled times
- Underutilised time — scheduled hours not worked
- Deliveries per hour — real throughput measurement
- On-time delivery — percentage of stops meeting their time windows
- Average time at stop — duration per stop
Route mapping, interactive timelines, and comprehensive journey logs round out the view.
How metrics are calculated
- The plan — a workshift consists of orders with pickup and delivery locations, typically one depot batch pickup followed by delivery stops.
- Driver app activity — the app records continuous GPS location pings and timestamped actions (arrived, scanned, signed, completed). Data is road-matched to align with actual road networks.
- Data integration — the scheduled plan is aligned with actual activity to derive the metrics:
- Actual workshift = first GPS movement → last completed action
- Underutilised = Scheduled − Worked
- Deliveries/hour = Deliveries ÷ Working hours
- On-time delivery = On-time stops ÷ Total stops
- Average time at stop = Total dwell time ÷ Stops
Coming next: trends across drivers, routes & locations
An aggregated view will let you track performance across weeks and months — helping identify patterns in throughput, on-time rates, and dwell time across drivers, routes, and locations.
