BC Catering Roskilde is a foodservice wholesaler supplying restaurants, hotels, canteens, hospitals, and other professional kitchens across Sjælland and the island of Bornholm. It's part of BC Catering, one of five regional branches under Dansk Cater, one of Denmark's largest foodservice groups.

The Roskilde site runs around 65 vehicles delivering chilled, frozen, and dry goods across eastern Denmark, with the additional logistics complexity of serving Bornholm, an island in the Baltic accessible only by ferry.

The Challenge

BC Catering Roskilde was running a paper-based delivery confirmation process. Printed freight bills, manual signatures, physical sorting and archiving across roughly 65 vehicles serving thousands of professional kitchens. The cost showed up everywhere: in paper and printing, in the time customer service spent reconstructing what happened on a delivery, and in disputes that took days to resolve when something arrived wrong or damaged. Add the logistics of Bornholm, where every delivery crosses a ferry, and the value of a clean, digital paper trail becomes hard to overstate.

The Solution

Rather than implementing receiver tools off the shelf, BC Catering Roskilde and Zendera designed them together. The team at Roskilde shaped the digital freight bill, the receiver self-service flow, and the damage reporting workflow around what their receivers actually needed, the way HoReCa kitchens want to confirm a delivery, the kinds of issues that need to be photographed, the level of detail customer service needs to follow up effectively.
